On 14 September, 2011, the ARA.CAT paper featured grapevine adoptions in Gratallops by the Devinssi Winery among a series of examples of best practices in Catalan agriculture.
It is worth pointing out that the adopters who are already subscribed and have received their gifts are sending us grateful and inspiring emails encouraging us to keep on developing this project. The interest in these gifts has been growing and is noticeable particularly towards Christmas. More messages are coming in from people who want to draw on this original idea of Christmas present.

Further experiences with grapevines and olive trees
Can we stuff our dining table with Catalan quality produce purchased through an adoption?
There might be missing some basic products, but the table would definitely delight our eye. There would be no shortage of such Mediterranean products as olive oil and wine. The Tortosa Cooperative Soldebre and the Devinssi Winery in Gratallops, Priorat, offer the opportunity to adopt olive trees and grapevines correspondingly.
The Cooperative offers to adopt millenary olive trees, which grew from an initiative to protect these monumental trees and allows adopters to get oil from these olive trees for an annual instalment of 60 euros.
In Priorat, the Devinssi Winery decided to implement this scheme, too, after they noticed wine lovers’ increasing interest in this winery and its vineyards.
Through grapevine adoption in Gratallops, Devinssi offers in turn certain discounts, visits to the winery and bottles of their DOQ Priorat wine with tailor-made labelling.
