Wine tours and la Castanyada in Gratallops, DOQ Priorat – Devinssi Winery

Català - Castellano

The grape harvest being over, autumn is making more and more advances in Priorat, with vine leaves turning bright yellow and red. All Saints' Day (la Castanyada, or Chestnut Day) is coming closer, with its sweet wine, panellets, sweet potatoes, persimmons... and roast chestnuts playing the main part.
This year, the Castanyada long weekend (29 October – 01 November) is a great chance to learn more about Catalan inland and to have a wine short-break in autumnal Priorat enjoying its landscape’s unconventional splendour: to take a walk through the slate-stone terrasses and costers and see the grapevines unwind after the harvest time, to make new friends with people who toil this land and – certainly – taste and buy wines onsite, straight from the winer-maker.
Our wine shop will be open throughout the Castanyada long weekend, every morning and afternoon. On 29 October – 01 November all Devinssi Winery visitors and all wine shoppers will be treated to a shot of Priorat mellow wine with each purchase or winery visit.

We look forward to your visit to Gratallops and we wish you Bona Castanyada!
